BSF Parking & Public Transport

Bearwood Street Festival encourages walking, cycling, jogging and using public transport to get to us. However, there is free parking available for 500 cars on the Lightwoods park grassy 'extension' off Galton Rd, with Katie the vintage Devon single decker bus shuttling revellers to and from the festival area.
Bus Stop Lightwoods Park, Galton Road extension by the dog pub and it drops at the bus stops by the Hagley Road and then St Mary's Road.

The number 9, X8, X10, 140, 126, 127, 128, 87, 82, 11 , 12 and 13
A quick way to find out 'immediately' which bus or train is available is to use the google maps app:

Residents directly effected by the BSF road closure should have received the following letter:
PARTIAL CLOSURE OF BEARWOOD ROAD
The event has been organised in consultation with the Council and transport providers. In compliance with safety regulations there will not be vehicle access to the section of Bearwood Road between Rutland Road and Three Shires Oak Junctions between 5.00am and 8.00pm on Sunday 9th June . Please make alternative arrangements for access on this unique occasion. Barriers and notices will be in place to inform traffic of the route changes that are in place.
