On Sunday 9th June 2019 Bearwood's high street and surrounding spaces hosted a day-long celebration of local music, art, food, theatre, spoken word and children’s play, supported by local traders, Arts Council England, Creative Black Country & The National Lottery Community Fund, organised by We Are Bearwood community group & undertaken by an Army of volunteers.
With THREE STAGES: Otherwood Stage, Clock Stage & The Common, boasting an impressive line up of BBC Introducing musicians and Glastonbury performers like Lady Sanity, Punch the Sky & Friendly Fire Band, International Spoken Word Performance Artists like Amerah Saleh, a children’s play space with Go Play Sandwell, a babies and toddlers space by NCT Birmingham West branch, a carousel of activities for families of children with additional needs by Spinsonic and MotherShip, Adam Carver - Disco tea party commissioned with the help of the Arts Council, Spectra's interactive playful musical performance, Werewolf Workshop’s Community graffiti Wall, Infamous Community Arts The Bear Throne, Emma Blundell's Giant Community Blanket & Award Winning Street Food Vendors & beautiful Artisan Stall Holders there was something for everybody.
