A world of arts, games and creativity at Bearwood School Playground, Bearwood Baptist Church & The Common.

YOUNG EXPLORERS - BEARWOOD PRIMARY SCHOOL PLAYGROUND

This is our children’s play space! Open 12-5pm. With Go Play Sandwell bringing a range of playful activities and our very own beach thanks to the lovely folk at Warley Baptist Church. Children can get creative with craft activities provided by Mothership and decorate their own Bearwood Rock to take home or hide in Warley Woods for someone else to discover. Treat your little ones to face painting and an ice cream or let them spend their pocket money on the snack stall kindly provided by St Hilda’s Scout group.

INCLUSIVE EXPLORERS AT BEARWOOD BAPTIST CHURCH

This festival zone, in Bearwood Baptist Church Hall (Rawlings Road entrance), is specifically for families of children with additional needs, age 5-13. There is a carousel of activities, 12.30-6pm, bookable in advance, provided by Spinsonic and MotherShip and led by highly skilled specialist practitioners. The activities consist of circus skills workshops and music & movement workshops and are designed for children to take part in with their parents and carers. Different sessions will be available for different levels of need.

Thanks to the NCT Birmingham West branch even tiny tots can enjoy their first festival experience! Here you can find a space for changing and feeding babies and toddlers. Come along between 12-1pm to hire a baby carrier for the day and get free advice from local sling consultant, The Happy Sling Lady. Try free taster sessions of Sing & Sign with Ellie (2-3pm), Baby Massage with Amy (4-5pm) and get advice from a local breastfeeding counsellor, Justine (3-4pm).

At The Common there will also be a family picnic area by the acoustic stage, forest play and a community hub marquee. A place to rest up, relax and browse.
